Philosophy
My favorite things have always been handmade. My father is a wood worker who marvels at the beauty hidden under bark and appreciates the challenge of taking a piece of nature in the form of a fallen tree and turning it into a beautiful functional part of our daily lives. My grandmother is a quilter who uses patterns that were passed down to her from previous generations creating a snuggly time capsules. My mother uses food and cooking as her primary love language and her therapy. Learning from these beloved people in my life I have always appreciated process of creating.
I am constantly experimenting within the ceramic medium and yearn for time to play in other mediums. I have a passion for craft and quality and genuinely believe that there is magic in the the creative process and in functional items that are infused with love and creativity.
